Malala youngest winner of nobel peace prize ever

Almost all newspapers emphasize the fact that Malala is the youngest winner ever of the Nobel Peace prize 2014. Does that really matter? Not for me. The fact that a young girl is awarded with the most prestigious award in the free world is not the message: we all need to be aware of the cruel injustice and violence that is forced upon people all around the world. And not sit back and say: Aww … Terrible! But stand together with them and stand up against their oppressors. And not look away. Malala was almost killed, fighting for her right to go to school. What would we have done? Most likely nothing.

That’s why she deserves the Nobel Peace Prize 2014.
