Street life in Holland

Holland is known for her Tulips, Dikes and Windmills. And of course for her bicycles. We have more bicycles than inhabitants.

Most Dutch own more than one bicycle, often two or more. But please don’t think we live in the stone-age. Rotterdam is the fifth largest harbor in the world and the mainport to Europe. Our Dutch Design is world famous and second to none. Already in the 15th and 16th century Rembrandt van Rhijn was regarded as the most talented painter in the world.

I have made these pictures, none spectaculair, because they give a good idea of street life in a typical Dutch city: Gouda
